Q: What types of services do you offer?
A: BUGCO inspects and treats against termites, bed bugs, fleas, German roaches, spiders, mosquitoes, rodents and wildlife (opossums, raccoons, and squirrels).
Q: What pests/bugs are covered under the General Pest Control with this?
A: The most common insects are American roaches, Brown Banded roaches, Oriental roaches, Smoky Brown roaches, House Crickets, Millipedes, Earwigs, Silverfish, Pill bugs/Sow bugs, and Centipedes, and most ants.
Q: What type of insecticides/chemicals are used?
A: Product and dosage is dependent on the pest control problem that is present. Experienced and licensed pest management personnel use their knowledge to formulate a plan to manage the pests they have identified after having conducted a thorough and complete inspection.
Q: If I need a Termite Treatment, how much does BUGCO charge?
A: The price will be determined by the inspecting technician at the time and depends on various factors including but not limited to: the quantity of chemicals used, the scope of work, whether or not live activity is found, etc.
Q: I have bed bugs. What do I do?
A: Remove all clothing, bedding, sheets, etc. and wash them in high heat or on sanitary cycle. Move all furniture in the room to be treated away from the walls. We will do an initial treatment with two follow up treatments if needed within 30 days, all for one price.
Q: Are the chemicals safe for my children and pets?
A: All chemicals are approved by the Environmental Protection Agency and the Texas Department of Agriculture. We recommend keeping children and pets away from insecticides until they have dried (about 30 minutes after application). After that, the chemical is not likely to be absorbed through skin. Many of the products that we use to control pests share the same ingredients used for topical treatments for pets such as Frontline Plus, PetArmor, Trifexix and Fibroguard flea medicine.
Q: What are the areas that you treat?
A: We treat all accessible doorways, baseboards and plumbing areas on the interior and the base of the house on the exterior. The garage is always included in a General Pest Control Treatment, but the attic is treated upon request only at an additional charge.
Q: What’s included in your termite treatment warranties?
A: We warranty all of our termite treatments, even spot treatments. Terms are available for one to ten years of coverage. We will retreat any area previously treated should an infestation re-occur. Annual inspections are required for warranties extending beyond one year.
Q: How often should I get treatment for General Pest Control?
A: We recommend quarterly service — once every three months — but we can treat as often as once a month.
Q: How long is your warranty for fire ants?
A: Depending on the treatment applied, we warranty fire ant treatments for up to 60 days.
Q: Will I notice a reduction in mosquitoes using your mosquito misting system?
A: Yes, our misting system begins reducing mosquito populations once it is activated.
Q: What about my outdoor pets? Will they be safe from the mosquito chemical?
A: Misting straight onto pets is not recommended but using mosquito misting in pet areas is quite common to control and reduce biting and flying insects that transmit diseases to our pets.
Q: Do I have to sign a contract?
A: No, there is no contract involved. For our various pest control plans, please see that section on our site or call us at 210-340-2847 for more information.
